The Ascension Catholic Student Service Council is comprised of students from sixth grade through eighth grade. The only other requirement is the desire to serve others.
Under the direction of a faculty moderator, these students participate in a variety of activities. Within the school, students coordinate NUT Days, Drug Free Week activities, collect goods and assemble Backpacks for the Homeless. Additionally, the Council helps select and coordinates a school wide service project.
Beyond the walls of the school, students assist at Wonderful Wednesday Dinners, Sunday Donut Duty, support Toys for Children Workers, and represent Ascension at other outside activities.
The Student Service Council’s mission is to offer students additional opportunities to develop leadership skills in the context of serving all God’s people as a companion on the journey.
