The Ascension tennis team is a competitive team open to boys and girls in grades 4 through 8. Team tryouts are held in January and the season wraps up in April. When there is enough interest, a novice team will be formed in addition to the intermediate team. Students need to have had some experience playing competitive tennis to be able to compete in this league, sponsored by the Space Coast Tennis Association. Teams play matches at local area courts and compete against local Catholic and private schools, as well as other teams. Matches are usually held on Friday in the late afternoon. Matches consist of singles, doubles, and mixed doubles.
Students are asked to pay a fee of about $50 to cover cost of team shirt, court fees and end of the year activities.
