Development at Ascension

The Office of Development was established in the year 2000 to provide an alternate means of supporting the school financially, apart from tuition payments. The office is run by the Development Director, Sister M. Joseph Barden, and a host of volunteers, who donate many hours of hard work to a variety of causes, for the benefit of the school.

I. Projects which are being addressed at present are:

Support of the Endowment Fund which has been established to ensure the future financial support of Ascension Catholic School. The principle means of support for this fund at present are:

II. Future projects which will be considered are:

Setting up and maintaining an active alumni organization

Seeking foundation grants

Continuing to explore major gift prospects in the community

Training of volunteers to assume responsibility in different areas

Recognition of present donors and cultivation of new donors

Communication with various publics to encourage ongoing support for Ascension School.

Ongoing Development is critical to the future financial growth of Catholic Schools.
