We will celebrate the Initiation Ceremony of the Spanish Honor Society ”Borges Chapter" for the qualifiying students during Catholic Schools Week, tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010. Please check back for more information.
The Spanish Honor society was formed in 2004 under the umbrella organization of the Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. Ascension was fortunate to be selected as the first school in the country to receive a chapter. Students will work to complete projects in the areas of service to school, service to community and ambassadorship.
In addition, applicants must:
1. Be in the Eighth Grade
2. Taken Spanish for one full year
3. Maintain an "A" in Spanish
4. Maintain good conduct
5. Demonstrate a love of the language and culture |
