Ascension Fingerprinting

It is the policy of the Diocese of Orlando that all persons working with children on church and/or school-related activities be fingerprinted and a background check conducted. This includes drivers, playgournd monitors, hot lunch workers, EVERY volunteer! If you think you might need to be fingerprinted, you probably do.

A list of all whose prints have been submitted is available from the office. If your name is on that list, no further action is required at this time. If it is not on the list, you need to be fingerprinted if you plan to work or volunteer with ACS children.

Fingerprinting must be done through the school, so if you've been fingerprinted elsewhere we are unable to use it. You can contact the school office for details on when you can be fingerprinted. The cost to be fingerprinted through the FBI is $36.

In the past, you could pick up a card and take to the Police Station. That is no longer compliant with Diocesan Policy. All persons need to be fingerprinted at the school. During drop off, pick up and lunch times, you may have to wait to be fingerprinted. Please contact the school office if you require an exact time.
