WHAT DO I DO?

BRING A LAYER CAKE IF YOU HAVE NOT PREPAID FOR ONE!

1)     Arrive no later than 6:30 PM in the small church hall.  Dress casual; wear comfortable shoes & a smile.

2)     Sign in at the table where the bingo packets are sold.  Sign in next to the family name you are working for.  Please complete ALL info requested.

3)     Briefing of duties – see Charlie Gilboard or Tom Burke, if you have never worked before.

a) Sell bingo packets – you may be asked to help the “regular” workers sell bingo packets.   They will explain exactly what you need to do.

b)  Work the floor – You will be given a mini microphone and a money apron to wear.

·    Check bingo – when a player calls “BINGO”, go to that player and ask to see his/her bingo.  Repeat the card # (bottom right corner of card) back to the bingo caller for verification.

·      Pay out winnings – when a “BINGO” is verified, the bingo caller will advise you of the correct amount of winnings to be paid out to that player.

·      Sell bingo cards -  you will be given bingo game cards to carry in your apron to sell to players who wish to purchase additional cards.

·      Restroom run – a need to use the facilities may prompt a player to ask you to play his/her cards.  Many people play several cards at a time.  If you feel uncomfortable, suggest a more experienced worker assist that player.

c) Kitchen helpduties include (but are not limited to) selling refreshments, washing dishes and  restocking supplies
