Dear Fifth Grade Students and Parents, During summer vacation it is very important to rest, have fun, and relax. It is also extremely important to keep your math and reading skills sharp. This year the summer reading requirement is listed below. You will need to read one required book, and two books of your choice from a list of authors. There are 4 math sheets you need to complete this summer and have them ready to turn in the first day of school. These are the skills you need to be proficient at entering fifth grade. In addition, you should be able to complete 100 basic multiplication table problems in 5 minutes. Working on these skills during summer will help to make math go smoother throughout the year.
