Admissions Process

TUITION RATES AND FEES 

2013-2014 School Year

Ascension School, as part of the Diocese of Orlando Catholic Schools, uses the FACTS Tuition management system for tuition payments. All tuition and fees can be handled through FACTS. There is $38 FACTS administrative fee per application. There is no fee for full payments and a $10 fee for the 2 payment option.

Two Bingo work dates are required for both Category 1, Category 2 and McKay tuition rates.

New Families are to meet with Fr. Tobin to determine tuition category.
Returning families meet with Fr. Tobin if church membership is in question before tuition category is determined.

Category 1: To qualify for this rate, you must: be registered in the parish, attend Mass regularly on the weekend, and contribute financially to the parish through the envelope system. Category 1 tuition is subsidized by the parish.

Category 1: Tuition
One child (K-8) $5,650.00
Two children (K-8) $9,860.00
Three children (K-8) $11,595.00

Category 2: Category 2 tuition is the approximate per pupil cost. If you do not qualify for Category 1 tuition you will be responsible for the per pupil cost. Bingo work dates are required for both Category 1 and Category 2 rates.

Category 2: Tuition
One child $7,100.00
Additional child(ren) $6,650.00

McKay Student:  Tuition
The cost to educate a McKay Scholarship student at Ascension is $7500.00  (School Tuition Cost)
This cost includes additional staff and services. Standard registration fee and parishioner/non-parishioner rates apply. Parents pay the difference between McKay funding and standard parishioner or not-parishioner rate of tuition.

Financial Assistance:
The deadline to apply for financial aid for the 2013-2014 school year is Mary 15, 2013.  All school financial aid applicants must first review the Step Up For Students Financial Aid Website BEFORE submitting their application for Parish Assistance through the Ascension Catholic School Website.

Three year old Pre-kindergarten: Tuition
The three year old, pre-kindergarten tuition is separate and in addition to the sliding scale listed in Category 1 tuition. Category 1 parents with a child in pre-kindergarten will pay for the child in (k-8) based on Category 1 tuition and pay the pre-kindergarten tuition for the prek3 child.

Number in Family Tuition
Per Child (3 yr. old) Must be 3 by Sept. 1 $3,800.00
If Prek3 child has older siblings in school $3,700.00

Tuition is only refundable for the months that the student does not attend. If a student attends any days within a month, then the tuition is considered earned and payable.

Fees are non-refundable.

Flat rate per child -Prek3 – 8 – $220.00 If registered on or by March 23, 2012. This includes a $30 classroom fee per student.

New Student Application Fee $100.00 (one time fee paid at time of registration)
