Ascension Tuition and Fees

Tuition obligations are taken care of in accordance with the written information each family receives from the office.

Payments: Registration fees are usually due in March, and are non-refundable. Parents are required to sign a form indicating the planned method of tuition payment; i.e., two payments, or monthly Smart Tuition. All payments are paid through the Smart Tuition Company. Please make all checks payable to Ascension Catholic School.

Book Fees: Book fees are included in tuition payments and non-refundable after school has begun. The only exception to this is the Spanish Language Books used by the fifth through eighth grade students.

Return Check Policy: Any check returned to ACS shall have a fee.

Financial Obligation Fulfillment: The financial obligations incurred by a student attending ACS must be fully satisfied in order to receive the final report card. The school will take whatever steps are deemed legal and necessary to collect delinquent accounts.

Subsidies: Applications for subsidies are available in the school office by March 15th. Applications are reviewed by an outside agency contracted by the Diocese. The deadline for submission is April 15th.

Tuition and Fees for the 2010-2011 School Year:

New Family: New families are to meet with Fr. Tobin to determine tuition rate. Returning families meet with Fr. Tobin if church membership is in question before tuition category is determined.

Category 1: To qualify for Category 1 tuition rates you must:

  • be registered in the parish
  • attend Mass regularly on the weekend
  • contribute financially to the parish through the envelope system

The Category 1 tuition is a subsidized rate by the parish. Bingo work dates are required for both Category 1 and Category 2 rates.

Category 1: Tuition
One child (K-8) $5,050.00
Two children (K-8) $9,010.00
Three children (K-8) $10,495.00

Category 2: Category 2 tuition is the approximate per pupil cost. If you do not qualify for Category 1 tuition you will be responsible for the per pupil cost. Bingo work dates are required for both Category 1 and Category 2 rates.

Category 2 Tuition
One child $6,500.00
Additional child(ren) $6,400.00

BINGO - ALL FAMILIES MUST WORK BINGO FOR BOTH CATEGORY 1 & CATEGORY 2

3 year old pre-kindergarten tuition: The pre-kindergarten tuition is separate and in addition to the sliding scale listed in Category 1 tuition. Category 1 parents with a child in pre-kindergarten will pay for the child in (k-8) based on Category 1 tuition and pay the pre-kindergarten tuition for the prek3 child.

Registration Fees is non-refundable:

Flat rate per child (Prek3 - 8) $220.00 If registered on or by March 19, 2010. This includes a $30 classroom fee per student.

New Student Application Fee $100.00 (one time fee paid at time of registration)
