Eagles Nest

A Photo Gallery and Noteworthy Observations to Share

Congratulations to the CyberPatriot team! After mass on Wednesday, we were honored to celebrate one of our wonderful CyberPatriot teams!   CyberPatriot is the Air Force Association’s National Youth Cyber Education Program.  While competing against other middle school students across Florida in a Cyber Defense Com-petition, our fabulous team finished THIRD in the state of Florida!  We could not be more proud of their hard work and focus under pres-sure!  Congratulations to this team and all who competed!

The Hour of Code

We pride ourselves on putting a focus on technology at Ascension. During the next couple weeks, every class is going to participate in the hour of code. The Hour of Code is a global movement by Computer Science Education Week and Code.org reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries through a one-hour introduction to computer science and computer programming. Every class here at Ascension will get an opportunity to participate.  Here are our 7th graders learning how to use two different programming languages:  Blockly and Python.
